Hi guys, I am currently entertaining the prospect of setting up a stall at some of the various public markets which operate in Brisbane.
My first choice was the SouthBank Lifestyle Markets, however they have a fairly strict policy with regards to what their stallholders can and cannot do. At present they do not allow political groups to set up stalls.
My next choice is the Sunday Brisbane Markets at Rocklea. I have yet to apply for a stall, but as the Communist Party of Queensland has a regular stall there, I can see no problems for us setting up there and handing out info.
It costs around $35 to set up a stall at the Brisbane(Rocklea) Markets, which represents very good value for money.
That's where I'm heading at the moment.

What about standing at busy, congested intersections during peak hour and handing out fliers to bored drivers?

What about standing at busy, congested intersections during peak hour and handing out fliers to bored drivers? Capital idea, and following on from that, we could also hand out leaflets where people enter railway stations on their way home from work. That way they will have some light reading to keep them occupied on their trip home.
